Terms & Conditions
Last updated: April 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern the supply of web design and related services by TradeWeb Solutions (“we”, “our”, “us”) to you (“the client”, “you”). By placing a deposit, signing a quote or otherwise instructing us to begin work, you agree to be bound by these terms.
TradeWeb Solutions is a UK sole trader operating from Sherborne, Dorset. Contact: info@tradewebsolutions.co.uk.
2. Our services
We offer:
- Starter Website (3-page) — £400 fixed fee
- Professional Website (5-page) — £600 fixed fee
- Managed + Growth subscription — £25 per calendar month, billed monthly
Prices on our website may include early-bird or promotional discounts that are limited in time. The price quoted to you in writing at the time of order is the binding price.
3. Quotes and orders
A quote becomes a binding order when you (a) pay the 50% deposit and (b) confirm in writing — including by email — that you accept the quote and these terms. Until both happen we are not contracted to start work.
4. Payments
For one-off website packages:
- 50% deposit is payable upfront, before we begin design.
- 50% balance is payable on completion, before the finished site is published to your domain.
For monthly subscriptions, payments recur on the same calendar day each month via Stripe. You can cancel a subscription at any time (see clause 9).
All amounts are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable VAT (we are not currently VAT-registered). Late payments may attract interest at the statutory rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
5. Project timeline
Our standard delivery target is approximately 10 working days from receipt of all required content (text, photos, branding) and the deposit. Delays in supplying content or feedback will extend the timeline by an equivalent amount.
6. Revisions
Each website package includes two rounds of design revisions before final delivery. Further changes after that are charged at our hourly rate, currently £35 per hour, in 30-minute increments, with a written estimate first.
Once the finished site is published, post-launch tweaks for clients on the Managed + Growth subscription are included as part of that monthly plan.
7. Client responsibilities
To deliver on time we need you to:
- Provide all written content, business details and any photography you want included.
- Review drafts and supply feedback within five working days of each draft being shared.
- Ensure that any content, logos, photos or trademarks you supply are owned by you or that you have permission to use them.
- Approve the final design in writing (email is sufficient) before the balance invoice is issued.
8. Ownership and licensing
On receipt of full payment, you own the finished website’s content, copy and bespoke design. Until full payment is received, all rights remain with TradeWeb Solutions and the website may not be used live.
We retain the right to display screenshots and a public link to your finished site in our portfolio, unless you ask us in writing not to.
Third-party assets (stock photos, fonts, icon libraries) remain the property of their original owners and are licensed to you under those owners’ terms.
9. Cancellation
By you
You may cancel a website project at any time. The 50% deposit is non-refundable, as it covers the discovery, design and time invested up to that point. If we have already delivered the finished site, the balance is still payable.
For monthly subscriptions, you may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid month — we will not bill you for the next month, but we do not refund part-months.
By us
If we are unable to complete a project for any reason, we will refund any deposit paid pro rata for work not yet delivered.
10. Hosting subscription terms
The Managed + Growth subscription includes website hosting (via our chosen provider, currently Netlify), monthly performance reporting and limited content edits. Specific deliverables for that month are listed on our pricing page at the time of subscription.
If you cancel the subscription, your website remains your property and we will, on request and at no charge, hand over the source files so you can host them elsewhere. We do not hold your site hostage.
11. Limitation of liability
We will exercise reasonable skill and care in delivering our services. However, our maximum liability under any one project is limited to the total fees paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit or loss of business, except where prohibited by UK law (such as for personal injury caused by our negligence).
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer where they apply.
12. Confidentiality
We treat any non-public information you share with us as confidential and will not disclose it to anyone outside our small list of necessary service providers (for example, Netlify or Stripe), except as required by law.
13. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside their reasonable control, including illness, internet or hosting outages, or government action.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes that cannot be resolved by friendly conversation will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The version that applies to your project is the version published on the date you placed your order, unless you and we agree in writing to use a more recent one.
