Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
1. Who we are
This privacy policy applies to the website tradewebsolutions.co.uk and the services provided by TradeWeb Solutions (“TradeWeb Solutions”, “we”, “our”, “us”). TradeWeb Solutions is a UK sole trader providing web design services to tradespeople and small businesses, based in Sherborne, Dorset.
For questions about this policy, contact us at info@tradewebsolutions.co.uk.
2. The personal data we collect
We only collect the data you voluntarily give us through our contact form or by emailing us. Specifically:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (optional)
- Your business name, trade and service area
- Anything else you write in the message field
We do not collect this data automatically. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this website.
3. Why we use it (lawful basis)
We use your data to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, deliver any web design work you commission, and keep in touch about your project.
Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is:
- Consent — when you submit our contact form, you are consenting to us using that information to reply.
- Contract — once you become a paying client, we process your data to deliver the service you have paid for.
- Legitimate interest — for follow-up communication directly related to your enquiry, kept proportionate and to the minimum needed.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone, ever. We share it only with the small number of service providers we use to operate this business:
- Netlify — our website host, which receives and stores contact form submissions on our behalf. Netlify operates from data centres in the EU and US under standard contractual clauses.
- IONOS — our domain registrar and email provider, hosting our
info@tradewebsolutions.co.ukinbox. IONOS is based in the UK / Germany. - Stripe — our payment processor. If you pay for one of our packages, Stripe collects payment details directly — we never see or store your card information.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for up to 6 months if it does not lead to a project, after which it is deleted. For active clients, we keep records of communication, invoices and project files for up to 3 years after the project ends, in case of follow-up support, returning work or HMRC obligations.
6. Where it’s stored
All client and enquiry data is stored within the UK and the European Union. Where Netlify temporarily processes data in the United States, it does so under standard contractual clauses approved by the UK government and the European Commission.
7. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you (right of access)
- Ask us to correct any data that is inaccurate (right of rectification)
- Ask us to delete your data (right of erasure)
- Ask us to restrict how we use it (right to restrict processing)
- Ask us for a copy of your data in a portable format (right to data portability)
- Object to our use of your data (right to object)
- Withdraw your consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email info@tradewebsolutions.co.uk. We will respond within one calendar month.
If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
8. Cookies
We use a very small number of strictly necessary cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page, with the date at the top reflecting when it was last changed.
